آخ واخ در باورهای مردم شهر رامیان در استان گلستان، نام موجودی افسانه‌ای است که هیبتی عظیم دارد. این موجود قابل مشاهده نیست و تنها صدا دارد. صدای او شبیه به " آخ واخ" است که اگر کسی این صدا را بشنود، این موجود در بدن او حلول می‌کند و موجب بیماری می‌شود.
گفته می‌شود که این موجود، تصور مردم رامیان قدیم از پدیده میکروب بوده است.

According to the people of Ramian (a city in Golestan province located in the northern part of Iran), there's an enormous creature named 'Akh Vay'.
Akh Vay is not visible to the eyes and people can only hear it's voice. Whenever it makes noise, It's as if the creature is saying 'Akh Vay'. If anyone hears this creature's voice, it possesses them or enters their body and causes illness.
It is also said that this creature was how they used to picture bacterias.
