Jowsha Snake | Mar-e-Jowsha | مار جوشا

در منظومه فرامرزنامه، 《مار جوشا 》 دشمن پادشاه هند است. فرامرز که می‌خواهد پادشاه هند را یاری کند، و دشمنانش را از میان بردارد، با این مار می‌جنگد و او را از بین می‌برد.
به روایت فرامرزنامه، از دم تا سر این مار چهل ذرع ( حدودا چهل متر) است، زهر او بسیار سمی‌ و پوست او چنان کلفت است که هیچ تیر و شمشیری آن را نمی‌برد. این مار آنچنان بزرگ و خشمگین است که با یک نفس کشیدن او شیر از بیشه بیرون کشیده می‌شود و به داخل دهان او می‌رود.
در این داستان، فرامرز الماسِ ضحاک را به دست می‌گیرد و خود را داخل صندوقی پنهان می‌کند. وقتی که اژدها ظاهر می‌شود، با نفس کشیدنش صندوق به داخل دهانش می‌رود. فرامرز از صندوق بیرون می‌آید و با الماس تن و مغز اژدها را از درون زخمی می‌کند. در انتها پهلوی مار جوشا را پاره کرده و از بدنش بیرون می‌جهد.

In Faramarz-nama, there is a tale about a snake named [Mar-e-Josha]. The snake is the enemy of India's king. Faramarz (Rostam's son), who wants to assist the Indian king in defeating his enemy, fights this snake and manages to destroy it.
According to Faramarz-nama, the snake's length is 40 Zar (about 40 meters). It's highly venomous and has an extremely thick skin that no sword or ax can cut through. The snake is so furious and huge that it can take a lion out of the woods with one breath and eat it.
In this tale, Faramarz takes Zahhāk's diamond and hides it in a box. When the snake arrives, the box is sucked into its mouth by its breath. After the box is inside the snake's body, Faramarz gets out of it and starts cutting the snake's organs and brain from within. In the end, he cuts Mar-e-Josha's flesh and gets out of its body.
