Yeddi Baji | یِِدّی باجی

در باور مردمان شهر گیوی استان اردبیل، در کوهی تکه‌سنگ بزرگی وجود دارد شبیه به هفت زن و یک کودک که بر دوش یکی از آن زن‌هاست. این سنگ در میان ساکنان این شهر به نام «یِدّی باجی» (هفت خواهر) معروف است. داستان این سنگ چنین است که در روزگاران قدیم که راه‌ها مثل امروز هموار نبود و مردم برای آمد و شد از کوه‌ها و جاده‌های خاکی گذر می‌کردند، هفت خواهر زندگی می‌کردند. روزی این هفت خواهر از حمام بر می‌گشتند که از دور راهزنان را می‌بینند. آن‌ها از خداوند درخواست می‌کنند که تبدیل به سنگ شوند و این داستان آفرینش سنگ است.

According to the people of Givi (located in Ardabil province, northwestern Iran), there's a big stone on a mountain that has the shape of seven women with a child sitting on one of their shoulders. This stone is known as YEDDĪ BĀJĪ, which means the Seven Sisters. There's an interesting story behind it that says, in the past, when there were no roads, and people had to walk through the mountains and uneven passways, the Seven Sisters existed. One day when they were going home from bathing, they saw bandits from afar. After seeing them, they all prayed to God to turn them into stones, and their wish came true.
