باراخ‌باراخ در باورهای مردم ارومیه موجودی است با موهای بسیار بلند که به دنبال گنج‌های پنهان در زمین می‌گردد.
باراخ‌باراخ کشاورزانی که مشغول کندن زمین هستند را زیرنظر می‌گیرد تا ببیند اگر گنجی را پنهان می‌کنند، شب‌هنگام به سراغ گنج برود و آن را از زمین خارج کند.

In the belief of people who live in Orumiyeh, there's a creature named Barakh-Barakh that has long hair and looks for hidden treasures under the ground. Barakh-Barakh watches farmers who dig the ground to see if they bury anything under it and at night, he goes there to steal the hidden treasures.
