《گژه‌هویله》 در باور مردمان قوم لک موجودی است که شب‌ها و در کوه‌ها با شکارچیان روبرو می‌شود و حرکات آن ها را موبه‌مو تقلید می‌کند. گژه‌هویله این کار را تا جایی انجام می‌دهد که شکارچی از شدت ترس روی زمین بیفتد یا فرار کند و از صخره ها سقوط کند. اگر شکارچی‌ای در برابر گژه‌هویله مقاومت کند، می‌تواند جان سالم به در ببرد. در داستانی آمده است که گژه‌هویله به قصد ترساندن یک شکارچی روبروی او می‌نشیند و حرکاتش را به شکل ترسناکی تقلید می‌کند. شکارچی که گژه‌هویله را شناخته بود، دستانش را به روغن کباب آغشته کرد و دستان چربش را به موهای سر و ریشش مالید. گژه‌هویله نیز این کارها را تقلید کرد. شکارچی چوبی را که داشت می‌سوخت برمی‌دارد و با احتیاط به خود نزدیک می‌کند. گژه‌هویله نیز این کار را می‌کند اما احتیاط به خرج نمی‌دهد و موهایش آتش می‌گیرد. او از شدت سوزش خود را از صخره پرت می‌کند و می‌گوید : "دس وژم و پا وژم، آگرم دا اج بدن وژم". یعنی با دست و پای خودم به بدنم آتش زدم. این جمله امروزه در میان لک‌زبانان تبدیل به ضرب‌المثل شده است.

According to the beliefs of the [Lak] tribe (southwestern Iran), there's a creature named [Gajhe Howeileh]. At nights, when hunters go to the mountains, this creature goes to them and starts imitating everything they do! Gajhe Howeileh does this so that the hunters run out of fear and fall to the ground or off a cliff. Hunters can survive if they manage to tolerate Gajhe Howeileh.
There's a tale about Gajhe Howeileh. According to this tale, one time, this creature sat in front of a hunter and started scarily imitating him. The hunter, who had happened to know about Gajhe Howeileh, rubbed oil all over his head and face. He then grabbed a burning stick and slowly brought it closer to himself. Imitating everything the man was doing, Gajhe Howeileh did the same but faster and set its hair on fire! While falling off the cliff, it said, "I set my flesh on fire". Nowadays, this sentence is used as a proverb amongst Laks.
