سکینه نام موجودیست در باورهای مردم روستای کوهسار در مینودشت استان گلستان که به روایتی در تاریکی شب می‌آید و کودکان را با خود می‌برد.
در روایتی دیگر از اقوام تات منطقه دوزین استان گلستان نیز سکینه زنی افسانه‌ای بود که به شکل روحی سرگردان در جنگل‌ها می‌گشت. اگر او را تسخیر می‌کردند سفیدبختی و در غیر این صورت باعث سیاه‌روزی افراد می‌شد.

Sakineh is the name of a creature in the beliefs of the people from Koohsar village located in Golestan province (northern Iran). According to the tales, she came during the night and took children away with her.
According to Tat people (a group of people living in northern Iran) in Golestan (Northern Iran), There's another story about Sakineh. It said that Sakineh was a woman who wandered around in the woods like a ghost. If people captured her, she brought good luck; if not, she brought disasters.
