ملک شَمهورُش یا شَمهَروش (سمهروس یا سمهورس) با القابی مانند ابا الوليد (پدر نوزاد) یا الطیر (پرنده)هم شناخته می‌شود.
شمهورش مثل دیگر ملوک اجنه از شخصیتهای اساطیر عربی است که پیروان علوم غریبه ایرانی هم به آنها باور دارند.
در این باور وی یکی از هفت پادشاه جن است که به سیاره ی مشتری, روز پنجشنبه, رنگ بنفش, و فلز قلع نسبت داده می‌شود.
باورمندان به اجنه معتقدند که وی قاضی‌القضات جنّیان است و اعتبار و قدرتش به اندازه‌ایست که حتی سایر ملوک جن و ابلیس نمیتوانند در دادگاه او حاضر نشوند و حکم او را اجرا نکنند.
طبق روایات فولکلور او در صدر اسلام مسلمان شد و فرمانده سپاه جنیان مسلمان بود.

Malek-Shamhoroush or Shamharoush (also known as Samhorous or Samharous) is one of the seven genie kings. Some also know him as Abā-alvalid (the child's father) or Abā-altteyr (the father of the bird). It's believed that he's associated with the planet Jupiter, the day Thursday, the Color Purple, and the metal Tin.

According to believers of Jinns (genies), he's the head of the judiciary of genies. They say that he's so mighty and prestigious that no other genie, not even Iblis (leader of the devils in Islam), can defy his commands. Shamharoush, like other kings of genies, is a part of Arabian mythology. Iranian people who follow occult sciences also believe in his existence.

Some say that he became a Muslim at the beginning of the Islamic era and was the leader of the Muslim Jinns.
