در روایتی میان مردمان اهل سرخس در قصه های کودکانه موجود ترسناکی به نام یک سرو دو زانو وجود داشته (شبیه به یک سر و دو گوش). موجودی که فقط یک سر و دو زانو اش دیده می‌شده و بچه های «نق نقو و شیطون» را می برده. برخی این موجود را فقط با یک سر و دو زانو متصل به سر تصور کرده اند و برخی دیگر موجودی محو که فقط سر و زانو اش مشخص بوده می‌پنداشتند.

In northeastern parts of Iran, there are children's stories about a creature known as 'Yek Sar Do Zanu',. Its name translates to 'one head and two knees'. The reason why it's called 'Yek Sar Do Zanu' is that all parts of this creature's body are hidden, except for its head and knees. It is said that this creature scares children who are mischievous and nag a lot, and if they start whining, it will come and take them.
