Not much is known from Hormizd I Kushanshah. It is very likely that he was the brother of Bahram II, the ShahanShah (King of Kings) of the Sassanid Empire, and the son of Bahram I. It is believed that he was the first Sassano-Kushan King that used the title: Kushan King of Kings, instead of Great Kushan King. This title might have signaled a rebellion that Bahram II had to attend to…

English description will be added soon

Likely Accuracy of this Creative Recreation

Likely a ‘Weak Guess’:
Due to stylized art of the coins in this era and the fact that there are not a lot of coins found that are associated with Hormizd I KushanShah’s reign. In addition in many of his coins he is depicted from head to toe, which makes reading his face harder. This recreation is based on just a few coins since his depiction in Naghsh-e-Rostam is heavily damaged and un readable.

Note: due to lack of information about the customs of Kushanshah the depiction of crown and globe like addition atop it might be very in accurate.
