باقپو در باورهای مردم لرستان، ماری است سمی و کشنده، دارای چند پا که به جای فلس، کرک و پرهایی بدنش را پوشانده است. سم این مار می‌تواند هر شخصی را در جا ناکار کند.
باقپو همچنین بال‌هایی دارد که می تواند توسط آن‌ها برای مدتی روی هوا شناور باشد.
این مار در گندمزار کمین کرده و به هر کسی که از آنجا رد بشود حمله می‌کند.

According to people from Lorestan province (western Iran), there is a creature called, ‘Baagh-pou’. It is described as a venomous snake with several legs and feathers and hair all over its body instead of scale. The venom of this creature can instantly kill anyone. Baagh-pou can float in the air, using its wings. It hides in grain fields and attacks anyone who passes by.
