The Game of Thrones of Ancient Persia, the Shahnameh is often credited with saving the Persian language from disappearance.

This epic poem by Ferdowsi was commissioned by various kings and represents the artist’s life work. The result has since become a cultural staple for all Iranians and fans of Persian culture.

This Book of Kings project pays hommage to the epic, adding a layer of modern graphic design to the ancient tale.
